It’s important to understand how chain slings are measured so you can buy the right one for your needs. The industry standard is to measure chain slings from pick point to pick point (or grab point to grab point).

We don’t measure by the actual chain itself since the length of that can vary among different chain sling types. To get an accurate measurement, we measure the chain while it is hanging straight down.
